All Vertex pistons are made from high-quality materials and heat treated with a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle. All Vertex piston skirts are coated with a high-tech Molybdenum Disulphite coating for faster break-in time and increased durability.

- Cast piston kit is gravity-cast aluminum alloy (not forged) with 18% silicone content
- Replica piston and all rings are OEM replacements
